From light to dirt, we take on many different forms of embodiment. Embodiment #2 captures our first steps into our skin. The freshness, the rosieness and free movement of our bodies. It is a loveliness to be savored and held dear, to be celebrated in those who have just come to us from the heavens. This is a lovely piece for those who wish to be reminded of such warm softness and held in the beauty of a new embodiment.
The piece is collaged on to a 8 x 8 x 1.5 in. wooden panel. There is a 1 in. lip on the back for easy hanging. It can also stand alone on a shelf or desk.
The papers used in this piece come from Japan, Nepal, and Italy. Many of them are handmade and handscreened. They are sourced from mulberry, cotton, and lokta plants.
